I'm half Dominican and half italian, but I live in Italy. My hair used to be red and very curly, but now my curls are starting to be less noticeable bc I've been blow drying my hair for too long. I wish I had enough confidence to stop giving a f about people's opinions and just rock my beautiful curls ;-;

This is so incorrect though. Straight was always the go to and in the 60's they got rollers and sat in the sun to let their hair become more straight and beautiful curls.

For those saying that most Dominican women got to Salon, not all dominicans have curly hair, plus We can do anything we want to our hair. 1. Some people that come from a family with straightened hair don't know how to take care of curly hair. So for them is easier to go to Salon. Not everyone knows how to do their hair or are so lazy to do so. It is their choice. 2. We have many people that don't have curly hair but wavy. It's fine if they want to straight their hair. 3. Everywhere you go you will find girls with their natural hair. 😂😂😂 And there are even more women going natural every day. 4. We didn't have products to make our natural hair look good, we didn't have many people who know how to rock it, but in the past few decades we have been going through it. Conclusion: don't try to take us down saying things like "You are trying to be white, you are not proud of your roots" because we are only trying to be dominicans.
